Prairie Crossing Charter School is a public school in the innovative Prairie Crossing conservation community that transforms children through academic discovery and interaction with natural, ecological, and community resources.


Goals
  • Create a campus master plan that supports the mission and vision of the school's eco-minded charter
  • Effectively manage construction of three new buildings

  • An ecologically driven landscape that is a curriculum-based, hands-on learning lab for students while contributing to the school’s sustainability
  • The first school building in Illinois to be certified LEED Gold by the US Green Building Council
  • A readily accessible tool for integrating environmental studies and green building throughout the school’s curriculum
