With over 20 years of landscape architecture experience, Jay’s philosophy has been shaped by his lifelong affinity for the natural areas of the Midwest. His innovative and award-winning design solutions are based on an understanding that every site is a unique and ever-changing part of the global system, which calls for a blending of environmental and economic growth. In his approach, enhancing the relationships between land, water and the built environment are paramount.
Jay is an Adjunct Professor of Landscape Architecture at the Illinois Institute of Technology, where he teaches students how to integrate ecology and sustainability into landscape design.
He has been recognized by the American Society of Landscape Architects on the national and state levels.
