Coordinated Planning in Lake County to be Explored at APA Event
The Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning (CMAP) has identified the extension of Illinois Route 53 and improvement of Illinois Route 120 (“IL 53/120”) as a major capital project with the highest congestion-reduction and economic benefits for the region. After two years of development, the corridor land use plan is almost finished.
The Metro Chicago Section of the American Planning Association will host a panel discussion on the multi-jurisdictional coordinated planning approach used. As part of the project planning team, WRD’s Jay Womack will be on hand to discuss the opportunities and challenges of intergovernmental coordination, and planning with a focus on natural resources.
The event will take place 9 am – 11 am on September 30 at CMAP, 233 S. Wacker Drive.
